Frequently asked questions

What operators ask us most often about their own sites.

Does ACS also work for a single small site?

Yes. There is no minimum size. A single sensor at one entrance already gives you footfall, peak times and year-on-year comparisons. How many sensors an area needs depends on ceiling height, the width of the passage, and the zones you want to evaluate.

How long until the first reliable figures?

You see live counts as soon as the sensors are mounted and the counting lines are configured. Comparisons and forecasts need a reference period: the visitor forecast calculates more accurately the more evaluated days it has.

Can we compare several sites against each other?

Yes. Sites, regions and countries can be compared directly, and similar sites can be grouped into clusters so the comparison stays fair.

What if our industry is not listed here?

The six examples are not a limit. All that matters is whether people move across an area and whether a decision depends on it. In the first conversation we look at your case specifically.

Do we need our own IT staff for this?

No. We set up counting lines and zones, pre-configure the sensors and maintain them remotely. You need no sensor expertise in-house.

Will our visitors notice anything?

No. The sensors sit discreetly on the ceiling, no image is created and nobody has to do anything. Where a live display is wanted, it is deliberately placed in plain sight.
